Job summary

Honor Plastics & Molding in Pomona, CA is seeking a Process Engineer to maintain daily production uptime of fully automated molding machines, including trimming, insert loading, and automated part handling, with strong knowledge of injection molding processes. The role reports to the Plant Manager and requires hands-on startup/shutdown and process monitoring.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and molding experience beneficial.
• Good communication, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up, shutdown, and troubleshooting of the molding process during production.
• Monitor process parameters and peripherals in injection molding cells to ensure performance.
• Coordinate and set up secondary and auxiliary equipment for each job.
• Ensure materials requiring pre-drying are managed properly.
• Assist with mold insert changes and new mold samplings with full documentation.
• Communicate with management, quality assurance, and shop floor daily on processing issues.
• Assist with planning, installation, and qualification of new production equipment.
• Assist setup technicians and material handlers as needed.
• Implement technical solutions to meet cost, quality, and delivery expectations.
• Monitor and document mold issues and advise on repairs.
• Ensure production activities follow approved procedures and promote safety and environmental awareness.
