Job summary

Justrite Safety Group is seeking a Process Engineer for our Wellsburg, WV facility. You will develop and optimize manufacturing processes across plastic injection molding and metal stamping, ensuring parts are produced safely, on-spec, and at optimal cost.

You will lead DOE studies, support NPI, and drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams to enhance quality and efficiency across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Plastics, or related) required.
• Minimum 3 years of process engineering in plastics or metal stamping environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of injection molding setup/troubleshooting and stamping presses.
• Experience with capability studies, SPC, FMEA, control plans, and PPAP documentation.
• Proficiency with CAD software for tooling/process review.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for injection molded parts and stamped metal components.
• Lead DOE studies and establish robust process windows to ensure quality and yield.
• Develop and maintain process control plans, work instructions, and setup sheets.
• Support NPI from DFM through PPAP and production trial.
• Drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to reduce scrap, downtime, and cycle time.
• Train operators on process parameters and standard work; collaborate with tooling and maintenance.
