Qualifications

• Lead medium-to-high complexity process development and scale-up projects.
• Internal SME for polymer synthesis chemistry, raw material interactions, and process controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects of moderate to high complexity in process development and scale-up.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Manufacturing, Regional and Business teams to achieve results.
• Communicate status and results to management and facilities.
• Invent, develop and implement new process technologies and solutions.
• Evaluate current manufacturing processes for safety, quality, throughput and waste.
• Provide strategic technical leadership by identifying new solutions, equipment, and suppliers.
• Ensure safety, quality, cost-effectiveness, reproducibility and timeliness of results.
• Lead external trials with suppliers.
• Design experiments, utilize advanced statistics and sensors to troubleshoot processes.
• Promote lab safety and develop new lab safety procedures.
• Conduct staff training.
• Travel up to 20% within the US, with likely international travel.
