DC Water is seeking a Process Engineer II to provide engineering support for the Blue Plains Wastewater Treatment Plant. You will evaluate treatment processes, develop control strategies, and ensure compliance with NPDES permits. Responsibilities include process studies, design reviews, troubleshooting, and reporting.
A DC PE license and at least five years of wastewater experience are required. You will work with Operations, Maintenance, and Asset Management to drive improvements emphasizing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental, chemical engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited college or university.
- District of Columbia Professional Engineer (PE) license required at time of hire.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience related to wastewater treatment processes.
- Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations and safety practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Responsabilités
- Provide engineering support and guidance to troubleshoot complex process problems.
- Develop process control strategies using PLC, HMI, and process control systems.
- Review complex design drawings and specs for proposed changes; assess cost-effectiveness and compliance.
- Design new systems or modify existing ones to meet objectives.
- Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
