Job summary

NEOTech in Longmont, CO seeks a manufacturing process engineer to support and optimize processes for PCB manufacturing equipment including screen printers, pick & place, reflow, wave soldering, and AOI systems. You will program, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment, support new installations, and lead capital investments.

Requires a B.S. in Engineering/Science/Math and 5+ years in electronics, with lead-free process experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering, Science or Math.
  • 5 years in electronics industry.
  • Lead-free process experience preferred.
  • Must pass IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification.
  • Must pass IPC-A-610 Modules 1 & 2.
  • Knowledge of SMT, wave soldering, and documentation control.

Responsibilities

  • Program, troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing process equipment as required.
  • Support engineering initiatives evaluating solders, fluxes, and new equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain aqueous cleaner and ionic contamination testing equipment.
  • Lead process improvements using test/yield data and defect analysis.
  • Create, present and obtain approval for capital investment programs.
  • Collaborate with Production to drive revenue, cost, and process improvements.
  • Provide guidance to operators and interact with vendors and cross-functional teams.
  • Comply with ISO standards and support 6S objectives.

Summary:Support current manufacturing processes related to manufacturing equipment used in thefactory, including but not limited to: screen printer, pick & place, reflow, wave, selectivesoldering, AOI and 5DX.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Program, troubleshoot & maintain manufacturing process equipment as required asreferenced in the summary section.Support engineering initiatives in evaluating: solders, fluxes, new equipment (installations)and recommends solutions both tactically and strategically.Monitor and maintains Aqueous cleaner and Ionic contamination testing equipment toacceptable standards while conforming to customer/IPC requirements.Initiate process improvements through effective evaluations of test/yield data andmanufacturing defects and make adjustments to process equipment accordingly.Create, present, and obtain approval for capital investment programs.Work with Production to develop and direct opportunities that affect revenues, costs andprocesses.Prepares and submits reports, as required.Provides guidance to machine operators/production employees and shows alternatemethods of solving or preventing process, business, or technical problems.Interacts with other functional and business groups or with outside vendors.Complies with Environmental Health and Safety regulations.Support and follow all ISO standards related to OnCore’s various Quality ManagementSystems.
