Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust manufacturing processes for micro-optical devices and similar products using semiconductor-related wafer fabrication technologies for plasma etching of silicon dioxide substrates.
- Perform in-line quality assurance processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support critical outsourced value creation process steps in production flow.
- Execute Design of Experiments under the guidance of senior technical staff to support technology commercialization.
- Create and maintain documentation to support production.
- Provide sustaining support in production, troubleshoot, analyze root causes of out-of-control conditions, and implement corrective actions.
- Resolve process-related issues affecting cycle time, yield, and tool availability.
- Drive process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate proficiency in communication, presentation, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Interface effectively with all organizational levels.
Responsibilities (continued)
- Use a cross-functional approach to problem solving, working with manufacturing resources to meet company goals.
- Monitor process and equipment performance using inline SPC data.
- Support initiatives like TPM, cycle time reduction, and yield enhancement.
- Assist in developing manufacturable production flows for new products.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and cleanroom protocols.
- Support daily productivity and quality goals, ensure accurate documentation and data entry in internal systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
- BS or MS Degree in Optics, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials, Physics, or related engineering discipline.
- Must verify identity and work eligibility in the United States as per federal law.
Physical Requirements
Employees must occasionally stand, walk, sit, handle objects, climb stairs, and lift up to 75 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
