Job summary

First Quality, including Nutek Disposables operations in McElhattan, PA, seeks a Process Engineer I to provide technical leadership on assigned lines, improving efficiency, quality, and safety while coordinating with PD, QA, and Maintenance.

The role emphasizes cost and quality improvements, process monitoring, and start-up support for new lines and equipment, with a 24/7 operation readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and DMAIC methodology.
• Experience with Minitab, statistics and DOE concepts.
• Exposure to SAP, SCADA, and MES systems.

Responsibilities

• observes safety rules and uses proper safety equipment at all times.
• Collaborates with Production, Planning, QA, and Maintenance to meet daily goals.
• Reviews spare parts usage monthly for trends and opportunities.
• Provides leadership for continuous improvement on assigned lines.
• Leads product/process improvement and material trials with minimal production impact.
