Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC is seeking a Process Engineer in Heflin, AL to lead development and improvement of production processes, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to standardize processes, introduce new products, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree with 0-2 years of experience and Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt; preferred 2-4 years. Strong problem solving and training abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Lean and Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in process engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and improves manufacturing or production processes to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Adheres to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout all process operations.
• Diagnoses and resolves process-related problems to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Applies Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to drive cost reduction and efficiency gains.
• Creates and maintains process flow diagrams, SOPs, and technical reports.
• Works with design, quality, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure seamless process integration.
• Assists in scaling up and validating processes for new products or technologies.
• Ensure machinery and tools operate within specified parameters for optimal output.
• Provide technical guidance and training to hourly team members and staff on process changes or best practices.
• Collaborates with IT and engineering teams to integrate digital tools.
