Job summary

Element Solutions, through its MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions segment, seeks a Process Engineer to maintain SPC for key products and improve first-pass yield. You will monitor production, analyze data, and drive cost-effective process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role focuses on supporting QA, conducting root-cause analyses, and implementing corrective actions while collaborating with Maintenance and Production teams to ensure process safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (required).
• 0-3 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Strong working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Quality-focused, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Team player with ability to collaborate across departments.
• Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Familiarity with P&ID's, basic process control, pumps, piping systems, control valves, mixers, solids handling and environmental control equipment.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).

Responsibilities

• Daily monitoring of production for quality, cycle time, EHS compliance, and adherence to documented practices.
• Oversee SPC activities for critical processes.
• Identify root causes for out-of-control products and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare periodic statistical reports for customers and ensure timely submission.
• Manage Nonconforming Material Reports and drive root-cause resolution.
• Support QA on customer complaints related to batch manufacturing.
• Write and modify Work Instructions for existing products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process equipment issues.
• Collaborate with Maintenance/Production and follow change control protocols.
• Act as secondary resource for Plant EHS activities and calibration oversight.

Who are we looking for?

The Process Engineer is responsible for maintaining Statistical Process Control of key products and providing engineering support to improve first pass yield and promote process efficiency and cost improvement. We are looking for an energetic, committed, and detail‑focused engineer who can come in and learn from our team.

What will you be doing?

• Daily monitoring of production for quality, cycle time, EHS compliance, and consistency with documented work practices
• Monitor processes closely and oversee SPC related activities for critical processes
• Determine root causes for out‑of‐control products as well as other product failures and follow through with corrective actions
• Prepare periodic statistical reports to customers and ensure the timely submission of such reports.
• Manage Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMR) as assigned and ensure timely closeout of reports and drive root cause, corrective action resolution and minimize repeat common occurrence.
• Support QA on customer complaints related to batch manufacturing processes including work on Corrective Action Request (CAR).
• Write and modify Work Instructions for existing products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process equipment related problems.
• Collaborate with Maintenance/Production and follow proper Management of Change protocol on equipment repairs and process changes to ensure maximum process safety
• Function as secondary resource for Plant EHS Activities such as waste management shipment coordination, permit compliance monitoring, external and internal auditing, and EHS systems performance validation
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Production and oversee execution of equipment and instrumentation calibration program

Who are You?

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering from four‑year, college or university.
• 0-3 years expierence in a relevant role
• Candidate should possess the following qualities.
• Good working knowledge in Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to details
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Quality focus, self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Team player and ability to interact closely with other departments

• Familiarity with P&ID's, basic process control, pumps, piping systems, control valves, mixers, solids handling and environmental control equipment.

The typical base salary range for this position is between $71,822.00 to $107,732.00
