Process Engineer

Under the direction of the Manager, the Process Engineer works to continuously improve manufacturing processes to provide better machine reliability, product quality, lower costs, and better use of assets. The role collaborates directly with operators, engineering, maintenance, quality, management, and production planning.

Successful candidates will develop skills to fully support their assigned processing areas and advance within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the manufacture of quality product through continuous improvement, implementing and maintaining process control systems and operating procedures, and implementing Statistical Process Control to ensure proper material processing and quality.
• Provide support and/or lead project teams to achieve improvements in safety, quality, throughput, cost, research and development, and machine reliability.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of processing equipment and provide primary support for equipment breakdowns to ensure product quality is maintained.
• Maintain open communications with operators and create training documentation as well as standard operating procedures for processing lines.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Materials, Metallurgical, Mechanical, Chemical, or other related discipline); graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years process engineering experience.
• Must meet U.S. export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology governed by ITAR and EAR regulations. Candidates who require an export license will be considered only if the Company can obtain such a license in a timeframe consistent with business requirements.
