Job summary

MOVA Metals is seeking a qualified Chemical Engineer to support processing and administration, optimize production for vanadium pentoxide, molybdenum trioxide, cobalt, and nickel recovery, and drive process innovations. You will work across design, testing, and operations to ensure safe, cost-effective manufacturing.

Responsibilities include process optimization, lab studies, and coordination with management on technology transfers and new product development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in chemical/metallurgical/mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent.
2–5 years of related experience in metal extraction via hydrometallurgical, pyrometallurgical, solvent extraction, or roasting/calcining.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct tests through production stages to monitor variables like temperature, density, and pressure.
Determine optimal process layouts for mixing, crushing, heat transfer, distillation and drying.
Perform lab studies and pilot tests for new products and processes.
Research and develop improved chemical manufacturing processes.
Design measurement and control systems based on lab and pilot data.
Plan equipment layouts and process integration.
Propose programs to meet future tech needs of the company.
Lead R&D and analytics activities and coordinate with management.
