Position: Process Engineer – Hi-Speed Cable Assembly

Location: Nashua, NH

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products enable the electronics revolution and are a key component for major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our headquarters are in Nashua, NH, with design, sales, and manufacturing facilities worldwide. We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our Hi-Speed Cable team at our Nashua location.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support the design and development of new high-speed cable products to optimize manufacturability, quality, cost, and efficiency.
  2. Define, source, and implement equipment and tooling needed for manufacturing high-speed cable assemblies in Nashua for sample builds, design validation, and customer requirements.
  3. Evaluate and incorporate customer specifications to customize cable assembly processes.
  4. Develop, support, and optimize manufacturing processes for high-speed cable assemblies in Nashua.
  5. Assist in designing, procuring, and debugging fixtures and tooling.
  6. Establish and document process details; facilitate transfer of manufacturing tools and processes to volume production sites.
  7. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 10-15%.

Qualifications:

  1. 2-5 years of experience as a Process or Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Proficiency with solid modeling tools such as Creo or SolidWorks.
  3. Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  4. Basic understanding of statistical concepts.
  5. Experience with PCBA SMT and soldering processes.
  6. Experience in designing and assembling telecommunication cable assemblies.
