Job summary

MegaFood is seeking a qualified engineer to optimize products and processes by establishing process capabilities and controls. You will lead site technical support for a dosage form, set specifications and guardrails, and leverage data to drive insights and change across the supply chain.

The role requires hands-on problem-solving, proficiency in QA/QC, and collaboration with operations to deliver reliable, repeatable processes that maximize customer value. 20% travel expected nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or other related science fields.
• 1-3 years related experience. Requires two years of industry experience (preferably in pharmaceutical, nutritional, food, or other consumer-packaged goods) in manufacturing technical support and/or process/product development, Quality Engineering and/or testing.
• Certified Packaging Professional, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other related problem-solving tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates subject matter expertise for assigned dosage form and influences internal and external groups to make improvements.
• Develops process understanding and capability for assigned dosage form, establishes controls for repeatability, and optimizes product/process to maximize customer value.
• Uses problem-solving to identify root cause and implement corrective actions for improving reliability of products/processes.
• Supports periodic review of products/processes by collecting data, analyzing it, and making recommendations for improvements.
• Supports Quality and Operations through troubleshooting, change controls, and NCR reduction.
• Serves as technical approver for equipment change requests and IOQ documentation.
• Prepares, reviews and/or approves technical documents like QCRs, NCRs, SOPs, MBRs, Change Controls, Verification/Validation Protocols, P&PV summary reports and Stability Protocols.
• Leads cross-functional teams to address problems and improve manufacturing/packaging efficiency.
• Performs equipment testing and qualification; supports FAT/SAT/PQ and IQ/OQ activities.
• Ensures safety and GMP compliance in assigned project areas.
