Job summary

Moog Inc in Christiansburg, VA is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Industrial Group Slip Ring and Marine. You will support slip ring production departments and offshore vendors, oversee manufacturing process development with a domestic and international team, and assist with tooling, work instructions, labor standards, facility layout, quotes and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering field required.
• 3 years of engineering experience.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Experience communicating with internal and external customers, coworkers, and other disciplines across the business.
• Willingness to travel once or twice a quarter domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints/drawings.
• Work and maintain confidential information.
• Support slip ring production departments and outsourced vendors.
• Oversee manufacturing process development with domestic and international teams.
• Order and support tooling, work instructions, labor standards, facility layout, quotes and continuous improvement.
• Review and respond to RFQs on new orders.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical manufacturing design reviews and offer manufacturability improvements.
• Travel domestically and internationally for site visits.
• Support offshore vendors with technical problem solving.
• Enforce policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements such as ITAR.
• Provide reports to management on daily, weekly, and monthly performance.
• Support technical exchanges with suppliers and Moog.
• Cross-train to assist other areas.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor or operations manager.
