Job summary

Kerry is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our Harrisonburg, VA site on site daily. You will drive process optimization, improve OEE and yield, and support NPI while collaborating with R&D, maintenance and production teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing/plant engineering, and Lean Six Sigma preferred. Compensation reflects the base range for the role and is accompanied by Kerry’s comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or Food Processing)
Lean Six Sigma qualification preferred
5+ years of progressive experience in plant maintenance, manufacturing engineering or process engineering
Experience with capital projects worth $50k–$500k
Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement effective solutions

Responsibilities

Optimize production processes for OEE, yield and NPI
Support operator capability building through SOP creation and training
Own 1-KPS problem solving for critical site concerns
Assist plant maintenance manager with special tasks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across manufacturing plants
Create project plans and manage milestones for quality, timeline and budget
Determine optimal production settings to balance quality and cost
Analyze quality problems and coordinate with maintenance/production for solutions
Work with R&D for new product requests and upscale trials
Define production parameters for new products with R&D and site teams
