Job summary

CRB is seeking an entry-level Process Engineer in the United States (Maryland) to design manufacturing facilities and equipment, support infrastructure, and critical utilities as part of an interactive team.

Responsibilities include creating process designs, performing calculations, and producing deliverables such as P&IDs, equipment lists, and flow diagrams, with guidance from a mentor. The role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines and field observations.

Qualifications

• ABET-accreditedBachelor’sdegree in mechanical, chemical or bioprocess engineering.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in a related manufacturing or design firm.
• Fundamentals of Engineering exam registration or completion preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the documentation of the process design scope in coordination with other disciplines.
• Work closely with architects, engineers and designers to ensure a coordinated, constructible and complete design.
• Self-checks own work but communicates often with peers and supervisor.
• Able to work on one or more projects concurrently and manage time effectively.
• Solves complex problems under the direction and supervision of a mentor or supervisor.
• Produce engineering deliverables including: Block and Process Flow Diagrams, User Requirements Specifications, Equipment List, Equipment General Arrangements, Equipment Datasheets, Utility Summary, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

TheEntry-Level Process Engineeris responsible for supporting the documentation of the process design scope in coordination with other disciplines. TheEntry-Level Process Engineermay support field installation teams and execute construction site observations. This role is expected to work closely with other architects,engineersand designers, as well as other internal and external team members to ensure ahigh quality,coordinated, constructible and complete design.

• Fundamentalsof Engineeringexam registration or completionpreferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strongverbal and writtencommunication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Fundamental experience with performing engineering calculations, developing and implementingsystems designs

• Fundamental experience with chemistry/biochemistry

• Fundamental experience with process modeling, material and energy balances and basic sizing calculations

• Fundamental experience with fluid mechanics, hydraulic modeling andheat transfer

• Ability to participate in internal cross-discipline project team coordination

• Proficient at fundamental discipline design calculations under the supervision of an engineerrequired

• Proficiency in2D / 3D design platforms (AutoCAD, Revit,Solidworks, etc.)

• Proficiency inProgramming
