Precoat Metals in Missouri seeks an experienced Process Engineer to lead process improvements, data analysis, and capital projects across manufacturing facilities. You will coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders and serve as the technical lead for process equipment and operations.

The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, experience in heavy industrial environments, and proficiency in engineering design calculations.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in process or industrial environments.
• Data-driven decision making; effective use of process automation tools.

Mansioni

• Evaluate existing coil coating and metal processing lines to reduce downtime, minimize waste, and maximize productivity.
• Study and recommend methods to improve existing equipment and processes.
• Provide technical support for process lines by identifying improvement opportunities, troubleshooting equipment, and responding to operator inquiries.
• Assist maintenance managers with tuning and troubleshooting burners, oxidizers, and combustion systems to ensure safe gas firing and VOC destruction.
• Diagnose root causes of refractory degradation, hot spots, and material failure.
• Use process historians to capture real-time data and support RCA.
• Coordinate design and installation activities with other departments.
• Perform heat‑transfer calculations and thermodynamic modeling to improve energy efficiency of thermal systems.
• Complete engineering calculations to validate new equipment or processes.
• Plan, schedule, and supervise construction activities and startup of new equipment.
