Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS USA, Inc. in Dalton, GA is seeking a Process Engineer to guide shift and day Process Technicians and apply continuous improvement to enhance plant operations, safety, and quality.

The role focuses on stabilizing production processes and managing key parameters in cooperation with production and quality teams. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 3+ years of related experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and proven technical acumen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering related field is required.
• 3+ years of related experience in process engineering or manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical approach are expected.
• Proven technical acumen in engineering practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sampling, inspection, testing, and evaluation methods.
• Initiate process improvement projects to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Operate safely and follow plant safety rules in all duties.
• Lead new process and operations improvements with metrics and audits.
• Assist development of technical training for process engineering and Six Sigma/Lean methods.
• Develop troubleshooting guides for maintenance and line operations.
• Collaborate with EHS to improve worker safety and reduce incident risk.
• Drive cross-functional change between safety, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Create and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, etc.
• Produce regular reports to track progress and drive actions.
• Support skill-up of engineers through mentoring and qualification efforts.
• Monitor key parameters to ensure stability and minimize variation.
• Standardize work instructions and update process documentation with Production.
• Plan and execute the team’s tasks.
