Job summary

CF Industries is seeking a process engineer to provide technical expertise for safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly operations of nitrogen fertilizer plants. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and EHS to align solutions with business objectives.

The role emphasizes monitoring plant performance, evaluating equipment, and supporting design and turnarounds. A BS in Chemical Engineering and at least two years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET or IchemE accredited university is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of process engineering experience is preferred. Experience required working for an operating company in the chemical manufacturing, refining, or oil and gas industry is required.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) required. Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with personnel throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on operational performance of process units and key variables affecting efficiency, capacity, emissions, and safety.
• Evaluate process and equipment performance to reduce plant upsets and resolve problems with process chemistry and equipment.
• Optimize process performance through troubleshooting, data analysis, and technical support to operations.
• Complete process engineering studies and provide support during design of new installations and processes.
• Prioritize projects to increase production capacity, improve energy efficiency, and enhance EHS performance.
• Prepare and review documents such as P&IDs, scopes of work, and equipment specifications.
