A leading staffing and consulting firm in the Quincy, MA area is seeking a Process Engineer. The role involves supporting new product commercialization, improving process efficiencies, and troubleshooting plant issues. Candidates must hold a BS degree in Chemical Engineering and have at least 1 year of relevant experience. Understanding of heat transfer, fluid flow, and instrumentation is essential. This position offers full-time employment with a Monday to Friday schedule.
Qualifications
1+ years of experience in manufacturing or chemical processing related industry.
Responsibilities
Support new product and process commercialization.
Measure product quality, process capability, and yield using statistical process control techniques.
Improve process efficiencies including first pass quality, productivity, and safety.
Provide plant support coordinating with R&D from inception to commercialization.
Achieve proficiency with key manufacturing unit operations.
Troubleshoot plant process issues with technicians/operators.
Help develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Investigate downtime causes and provide recommendations.
Skills
Understanding of heat transfer
Fluid flow knowledge
Pumping and piping skills
Instrumentation knowledge
GMP knowledge
Programming experience
Ability to obtain TWIC certification
Ability to read P&ID’s and schematics
PPE usage
Ability to work in confined spaces
