Qualifications

• BS in Engineering is required or equivalent.
• Chemical Engineering background preferred but not required.
• Two to four years of experience in operations.
• Familiarity with operations of cement industry is helpful.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; self-starter and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, supervise and participate in process flow studies for all production systems; plan and schedule process-flow improvement projects.
• Coordinate with Night Plant Supervisors, Maintenance Planner and Automation Engineer to address flow concerns and minimize downtime.
• Analyze equipment shutdowns and recommend operational and control changes; follow up on implementations.
• Ensure adherence to plant rules for conduct, health, safety, and environmental issues; administer disciplinary actions as needed.
• On-call for plant needs, covering routine and emergency situations; may fill in for Production Manager.
