Job summary

EMERGING ACQUISITIONS LLC is seeking a Process Engineer to analyze, define, and document process systems for anaerobic digestion, composting, and pre-processing projects. You will work with electrical and controls engineers to develop and document system designs, narratives, and 3D models.

The role requires a mechanical/civil/chemical engineering background, strong control systems knowledge, and experience with Inventor or SolidWorks. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, or chemical engineering.
• 3 years of industrial facility design or operation.
• Strong understanding of control systems and programming logic.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and material properties preferred.
• Experience in anaerobic digestion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed mass, heat, and energy balance calculations.
• Review drawings and documentation from outside equipment suppliers.
• Document integration of equipment into the overall system.
• Create or edit PFDs and P&IDs for major equipment or systems.
• Create detailed 3D models using Inventor, Revit, or Plant 3D.
• Assist with equipment sizing and selection.
• Write process narratives for controls logic programming, operation, and automation.
• Maintain organization of plans, permits, and SOPs.
• Provide technical evaluation for anaerobic digestion projects.
• Review data from existing systems and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Travel up to 25% to customer and vendor locations.
