Job Description

Accountable for new and existing equipment and lead continuous improvement activities in the location targeted at cost reduction, productivity, process optimization, and/or quality performance achievement. Evaluate process improvement opportunities, define process metrics, develop improvement plans, and lead improvement events.

  1. Define and establish new business and new products in existing production processes and targeted production rates and capacities.
  2. Conduct studies to improve production rates and capacities.
  3. Recommend revisions of methods in operations, alterations in equipment layout, or other changes to improve productivity.
  4. Develop layouts for efficient flow and effective production.
  5. Champion and lead continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S initiatives.
  6. Recommend, manage, and conduct cost-improvement initiatives.
  7. Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.
  8. Conduct regularly scheduled reviews of KPIs and gap analyses.
  9. Establish and drive the ongoing tracking of CI metrics.
  10. Train others in new processes and lean methodologies.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 4-year / Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Process Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Microsoft Office experience is required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
  • Ability to apply mathematical skills to tasks such as analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, statistical process control, and test reliability and validity.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of practical problems.
  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.).
  • Physical ability to use hands to handle, reach, talk, hear, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift items up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
Additional Information

The national pay range for this role is $84,100 to $134,600 annually. The actual pay may vary based on location, education, skills, experience, and performance. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, life insurance, and other voluntary benefits, plus tuition assistance, maternity leave, adoption assistance, and discounts.
