Job summary

Menasha Corporation seeks an engineer to design and implement manufacturing processes, equipment and plants from pilot to full operation. You will drive process improvements and lead projects that optimize mold design and press cycle times.

Collaborating with operations, technical and hourly staff, you will develop new tools, promote LEAF initiatives, and lead scrap reduction efforts while ensuring safety and quality in a dynamic packaging environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• RJG Master Molder I & II certifications preferred.
• Experience may substitute for education.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement manufacturing processes, equipment and plants from pilot to full operation.
• Lead plant, equipment and process improvement projects.
• Optimize press cycle time and consistency.
• Develop and manufacture new tools to minimize time to market and costs.
• Collaborate with operations, technical and hourly personnel to optimize processes.
• Participate in selection of processes and mold design for new products.
• Promote LEAF and employee engagement activities to maintain a positive work environment.
• Lead scrap improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About The Opportunity

Design and implement manufacturing processes, equipment and plants (pilot to fully operational) to achieve production goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop and improve manufacturing methods consistent with the principles of scientific mold and process control.

2. Manage plant, equipment, and process improvement projects, as assigned.

3. Manage the process to optimize press cycle time and consistency.

4. Assist in the development and manufacture of new tools to minimize ‘time to market’ while maximizing cost effectiveness.

5. Collaborate with operations, technical and hourly personnel to optimize processes.

6. Participate in the selection of processes and mold design considerations for new products.

7. Promote LEAF and employee engagement activities to create and maintain a positive work environment.

8. Lead various scrap improvement activities.

9. Other duties as assigned.
