TEKBERRY is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support a world-class manufacturer of glass and optical products in Tolleson, AZ. You will provide hands-on engineering support on the shop floor to diagnose and resolve equipment and process issues.

Key responsibilities include analyzing data to identify root causes, implementing corrective actions to improve quality, uptime, and throughput, and collaborating with operations, maintenance, quality, and vendors.

Qualifications

  • BS in STEM (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechatronics)
  • Hands-on manufacturing experience on a shop floor or plant
  • Ability to identify issues and implement corrective actions
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot equipment, product, and process issues on the manufacturing floor.
  • Analyze data to identify root causes and opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend and verify corrective actions to improve quality, uptime, and throughput.
  • Support equipment start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, qualification, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, engineering, and vendors.
  • Maintain procedures, standard work, and clear technical documentation.

Pay Rate: $35-$40/hr DOE
Employment Type: Contract (Approximately 6 months; extension possible)
Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm

Tekberry is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support our client, a world-class manufacturer of glass and optical products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands‑on engineering support on the manufacturing floor to troubleshoot equipment, product, process, and operational issues.
  • Analyze data, observations, and process conditions to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
  • Recommend, implement, and verify corrective actions to improve quality, uptime, throughput, and process stability.
  • Support equipment start‑up, troubleshooting, commissioning, qualification, and process optimization.
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, quality, engineering, and vendors to resolve issues and sustain improvements.
  • Maintain procedures, standard work, technical documentation, and clear communication of findings and recommendations.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or another STEM field required.
  • Hands‑on experience in a manufacturing, production, industrial, or plant environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify equipment, product, process, or operational issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and cross‑functional teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with plant procedures.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience with root cause analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, DOE, or other continuous improvement methods.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems, process controls, data analysis tools, and production performance metrics.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to spend time on the manufacturing floor engaging with operators and observing processes.
