Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions seeks a Manufacturing/Process Engineer to monitor and improve plastic molding operations. You will develop work instructions, train technicians, and support quality initiatives across shifts.

The role focuses on root-cause analysis, process documentation, and effective collaboration with the production team. Candidates should have a bachelor’s in engineering, 2+ years in related fields, and familiarity with high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (manufacturing/mechanical/industrial preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years' work experience in Engineering, Manufacturing and/or Quality Assurance, preferably in Injection Molding Plastics Manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of high-volume manufacturing.
  • Nationally recognized certification in manufacturing engineering (AME or SME) preferred.
  • Self-starter with ability to work alone, or in a team with limited supervision.
  • Proficient in MS Office; SAP & Data Analysis (Minitab) experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and improve machine process, develop work instructions, and train employees.
  • Provide training to process technicians, machine attendants and supervisors on new or modified processes.
  • Provide technical assistance to process technicians and machine attendants.
  • Assist in determining root cause and provide corrective action with customer product complaints.
  • Develop manufacturing process documentation for integration into the quality system.
  • Validate improvements to ensure desired results and sustainability.
  • Investigate operational problems affecting production in a systematic and methodical manner.
  • Participate in projects reducing downtime and scrap.
  • Communicate with management on all aspects of quality control.
  • Track inventories and order supplies as needed.
  • Manage new mold sampling and related documentation.

  • Develop appropriate manufacturing process documentation (work instructions, process setup instructions, and maintenance requirements) for integration into the company’s quality system

  • Validate implemented manufacturing process improvements to ensure desired results and sustainability

  • Investigate operational problems affecting production in a systematic and methodical manner

  • Participate in projects that support in reducing downtime and scrap

  • Communicating closely with management team members regarding all aspects of quality control

  • Track inventories and order supplies as they are needed

  • Investigate operational problems affecting production in a systematic and methodical manner

  • Managing new mold sampling including all documentation. Validating process development efforts and interaction with part quality. Feedback to corporate engineering for follow up as necessary

  • Adhering to quality system requirements and a focus on continuous improvement

  • Drive ToolingU - SME training at the plant level

  • Shift flexibility, able to come in early, stay late or show up on the weekends as production issues are encountered

  • Ability to work independently and on a team

  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by plant manager

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (preferably manufacturing, mechanical or industrial engineering related)

  • Minimum of 2 years\' work experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, and/or Quality Assurance functions preferably within Injection Molding Plastics Manufacturing

  • Working knowledge of high-volume manufacturing

  • Desired attainment of nationally recognized certification in manufacturing engineering, such as AME or SME

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work alone, or in a team environment with limited supervision

  • Excellent computer and data analysis skills. proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), SAP & Data Analysis (such as Minitab) experience a plus
