Job summary

Our client in Southern Vermont seeks a Process Engineer to lead process improvement initiatives and drive manufacturing efficiencies. Hybrid scheduling may be available, and the role emphasizes collaboration across engineering and production teams.

You will work on complex glass machining processes, analyze issues, and design experiments to improve performance and reliability. Strong communication and project management are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field such as Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or similar
  • 5+ years of process engineering experience in manufacturing
  • Proven success leading process improvements and increasing production efficiency
  • Strong background in data analysis, root cause investigation, and experimental design
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and SPC
  • Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Experience with diamond turning or semiconductor wafer singulation is a strong plus!

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing process improvement projects focused on quality, yield, and efficiency
  • Develop and optimize glass machining processes including blocking, coring, milling, dicing, chamfering, and pick-and-place
  • Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Design and execute experiments to improve product performance and process reliability
  • Manage engineering projects, including timelines, resources, and project priorities
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, operating procedures, and training materials
  • Train and mentor team members on best practices and process standards
  • Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to support continuous improvement and new product initiatives
  • Evaluate process changes and conduct risk assessments to ensure successful implementation
