Job summary

Nammo Energetics is seeking a dedicated Process Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes for a new solid rocket motor facility in Perry, Florida. The role requires collaboration with our Norway facility and frequent travel to Raufoss, Norway within the first 12–18 months.

The position is on-site in Perry and requires U.S. citizenship to obtain a government security clearance. Relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio.
• Ability to maintain attention to detail under stress and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Responsibilities

• Plan and design manufacturing processes and production workflow.
• Prepare plans, process specifications and procedures.
• Work with tooling engineer to implement fixtures, tooling and equipment.
• Prepare labor and tooling estimates for proposals.
• Conduct tests and analyze new manufacturing methods, materials, processes or standards.
• Compile and evaluate test and production data and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Conceive and plan projects involving major production activities and problem exploration.
• Coordinate technical matters related to assembly drawings, ECOs, rework and manufacturing specs.
• Evaluate efforts to eliminate defects and reduce costs.
• Perform DFM/DFA studies with Project Engineering.
• Write complete and accurate work instructions.
• Participate in design reviews to verify contract requirements.
• Support production activities.

Nammo Energetics (NEI) is the division of Nammo Group responsible for the establishment of a solid rocket motor manufacturing facility located in Perry, Florida adjacent to the existing Nammo Perry Inc facility. NEI will oversee the design, construction, qualification, and personnel staffing for the facility which targets initial production in 2027.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our growing team. This person will play a pivotal role in partnering with our Norway facility to plan and design manufacturing processes and production workflows for our new solid rock motor facility. The Process Engineer will work closely with design, safety, quality, and maintenance engineering groups to ensure efficiency and quality at each stage of production.

This position is on-site at the Nammo Energetics Office in Downtown, Perry, Florida and requires frequent travel to Raufoss, Norway for one – three week time periods within the first 12-18 months.

You must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (Requires U.S. Citizenship).

What You’ll Do: Precision in Action

• Plan and designs manufacturing processes and production workflow
• Prepares plans, process specifications and procedures
• Works with tooling engineer to implement assembly fixtures, tooling and equipment

• Write work instructions that are complete and accurate
• Participate in design reviews to ensure contract requirements are incorporated and can be verified through design, qualification, inspection, software or test
