Overview

Project Engineer in Oak Ridge, TN. A DOE Q Clearance or DOD Equivalent is preferred to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide Project Engineering support and coordination for projects across Commercial, Infrastructure, Production Modernization, and Production Stockpile initiatives. Plan and direct the engineering activities on projects; establish detailed project design scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate engineering efforts with Production, Maintenance, Project Management, Construction, Startup, and Project Controls personnel; apply ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) requirements for work in nuclear facilities.
• Render technical integration, leadership, guidance, and direction to multi-disciplined engineering teams for high‑profile plant initiatives; review project engineering progress against approved schedules and take corrective action as required.
• Address the coordination and integration of technical resources (internal and external) for large expense‑funded Production capability initiatives that fall outside the conventional capital projects organization.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree from an ABET‑accredited school in a technical discipline, plus 10 years or more of direct experience required, or an MA/MS with 10+ years of experience.

A DOE Q Clearance or DOD equivalent is highly preferred for consideration for this position. US citizenship is required due to government contract requirements and/or clearances.
