Job Opportunity: Contract Chemical Engineer – 1-Year Assignment

We are currently seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer for a one-year contract assignment. This role will provide key engineering support to backfill for an internal team member taking on a temporary international assignment. The ideal candidate will be ready to start as soon as available and bring strong technical and interpersonal skills to support ongoing operations.

Key Requirements:

5–10 years of experience as a degreed Chemical Engineer
Possession of a TWIC card or ability to obtain one promptly
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with operations, maintenance, reliability, and management teams

Primary Responsibilities:

Monitor and support operations of water treatment systems (Pretreatment, ROs, Cooling Towers) and ammonia storage systems (tanks, pumps, compressors, condensers, flare)
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in water treatment and NH3 storage systems
Manage media and resin changes to maintain water quality standards
Provide process and operational support for capital projects in assigned areas
Offer technical input for corrective actions and assist with closure
Participate in PSM-related activities including MOCs, PHAs, and PSSRs
Support 12-hour shift operations during NH3 plant startup, working opposite of the NH3 plant engineer’s shift
Use Aspen HYSYS, HTRI, and PipeFlo for simulation and heat exchanger design work
