Job summary

NYX Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to define optimal molding processes for products and train technical teams to achieve consistent results.

You will lead mold management, document processes, sample new materials, and drive process optimization while ensuring TS16949 awareness and 5S safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred or equivalent.
• Knowledge of AIAG PPAP/APQP processes beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Define optimal molding processes for products.
• Train technical teams to achieve consistent results.
• Lead mold management including location tracking and costs.
• Document and update process set up sheets and logs.
• Sample new materials and molds; drive process optimization.
• Ensure safety, 5S housekeeping, and TS16949 awareness.
• Organize and direct maintenance and setup documentation.

Description

To define optimal molding processes for products and train technical teams on achieving same results.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Responsible for AQP and PPAP requirements per AIAG Standards.
• 2. Problem solving on QPR format.
• 3. Responsible for all processes and mold related items.
• 4. Mold Management - track location, cost, PM, quotes.
• 5. Train technicians in mold set-up, molding processing.
• 6. Establish mold documentation and maintain documentation.
• 7. Sample new materials and molds.
• 8. Optimization of molding processes.
• 9. Define training requirements of maintenance technicians and train internally as needed.
• 10. Mold repair and reduction of root causes of failure modes.
• 11. Must have basic knowledge of TS16949 and know the Quality Policy.
• 12. Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.
• 13. Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained.
• 14. Manage and direct personnel as required.
• 15. Organize and keep all set up information updated including process set up sheets, process validation and process compliance logs.

Physical Demands:

• Standing - occasionally required on concrete floor when repairing equipment
• Walking - sometimes required during repairing or doing maintenance
• Lifting - occasional lifting from floor to waist level
• Reaching - occasionally extending arms and hands in front of body and below the waist when repairing machines
• Turning/twisting - occasionally required time to perform job functions
• Bending/stooping - occasionally required

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
