Job summary

Ocean Spray is seeking a Process Engineer to drive development, scale-up, and qualification of equipment and processes to support global base business and manufacturing optimization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, align stakeholders, and lead technical initiatives at OS and partner facilities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or related field, up to 50% travel, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical assessment, validation, and commissioning of processes at OS and partner manufacturing facilities, collaborating with RDS functional peers to meet technical and business objectives.
  • Identify, validate, implement, modifications to processes to improve yields, throughput of batching and thermal processing, utility savings, process control, and other relevant operational targets
  • Apply standard engineering techniques in the analysis of existing operational areas from raw materials to finished packages to troubleshoot process related production challenges and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead design, development, and execution of experiments in the pilot-plant and with strategic vendor partners to inform process scale up, troubleshooting, research.
  • Develop and implement process specifications, standards and best practices in collaboration with operations and cross functional subject matter experts

We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA with Mondays and Fridays remote.



In this role, the Process Engineer is responsible for...

In this role, the Process Engineer is responsible for development, scale up, and qualification of equipment and processes to support global base business, innovation, and manufacturing optimization initiatives. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams achieve business and technical objectives and contribute subject matter expertise. Additionally, the Process Engineer communicates results and aligns key stakeholders, interfaces with external vendors, and provides technical leadership to OS and partner manufacturing facilities.



A Day in the Life...

Contribute process engineering expertise to cross functional teams to inform successful design, scale up, and qualification of new products and processes.



  • Lead technical assessment, validation, and commissioning of processes at OS and partner manufacturing facilities, collaborating with RDS functional peers to meet technical and business objectives.

What We Are Looking For:


  • Required Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or equivalent

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation, problem solving, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence

  • Highly organized, adaptable, self-starter able to effectively manage multiple projects

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and willingness to lead cross functional project teams

  • Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCad, MS Project

  • Preferred Experience with data analysis and visualization in Python or similar tools



Education:

Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)

Annual Salary:

$72,200 - $90,300. The base salary range information above serves as a guideline of the position’s typical hiring range.
