Job summary

Centrisys/CNP, an established leader in centrifuge manufacturing, seeks a Process Engineer to join our team in Wisconsin. You will develop, optimize, and implement industrial processes from concept through startup, leveraging Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to enhance production rates, yields, and efficiency.

You will design, test, and improve systems, collaborate with manufacturing, QA, and marketing, and prepare documentation and reports on process performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Agricultural/Biological Systems, or Chemical.
  • 3–5 years in process engineering preferred; training available for recent graduates.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 50% and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through startup and certification.
  • Design, run, test, and upgrade systems and processes.
  • Analyze existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure processes comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures in manufacturing environments.
  • Conduct process capability studies and implement control strategies.
  • Collect, record, and interpret data on process performance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for processes and systems.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management on process performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor and control production costs and expenses.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial planning related to process improvements.
  • Design and develop new centrifuge systems and components; conduct feasibility studies to innovate and improve products.
  • Perform simulations, modeling, and analysis to ensure reliability and efficiency of designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new products from concept to production.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate design performance and compliance with industry standards.
  • Analyze test data and iterate designs to achieve optimal performance.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required; Environmental, Agricultural/Biological Systems; non-medical, Chemical.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in process engineering or a similar role in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but we will train recent graduates.
  • Proven experience in process optimization, continuous improvement, and project management.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead cross-functional projects.
  • In-depth understanding of process engineering principles and practices.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must be willing to travel a minimum of 50%.
