Job summary
Victaulic is seeking a Process Engineer for the Nephi, UT Foundry to drive operational excellence across manufacturing processes. You will analyze production performance, identify safety, quality, efficiency and cost opportunities, and implement solutions with cross-functional teams to improve daily operations.
This role emphasizes safety, process control, and continuous improvement in a high‑volume foundry.
Qualifications
- BS degree in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with design and construction methods and related costs.
- Understanding of CAD/CAM use and foundry process applications.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe working conditions and OSHA compliance for all employees.
- Lead internal and external ISO Audits.
- Handle Quality Issues, Warranty claims, and Corrective Actions.
- Manage controlled documents.
- Oversee new equipment installations.
- Design or modify equipment/processes to support maintenance and production.
- Prepare part prints for fabrication and coordinate with outside vendors.
- Submit CPRs for capital purchases.
- Assist and coordinate scrap reduction initiatives.
- Collect and analyze data to improve processes and maintain process control.
- Support the Quality Improvement Process and Facility Excellence (FEM).
- Work with foundry and engineering groups to improve processes and reduce costs.

As a Process Engineer at our Nephi, UT Foundry, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence across our manufacturing processes. In this position, you will analyze production performance, identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost, and implement solutions that make a measurable impact on daily operations. Working closely with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams, you will help optimize foundry processes, support continuous improvement initiatives, and introduce innovative approaches that enhance productivity and product performance. Your expertise will directly contribute to building a safer, more efficient operation while helping deliver the high-quality products our customers rely on every day.
- Ensure all employees understand and abide by all Company safety rules, regulations, and policies. Ensure that safe and sanitary working conditions are maintained in the facility in accordance with Company standards, as well as, state & federal laws and regulations. Ensure all employees understand their OSHA rights. Conduct safety training topics as required or needed. Responsible for scheduling employees to attend all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions. Promptly investigate all accidents and near misses, completing appropriate reports and taking action to eliminate root causes.

- Support and actively participate in the Quality Improvement Process and Facility Excellence (FEM)
- Work with other foundry and engineering groups to improve processes, equipment and reduce costs
- B.S. degree in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent bachelor degree
- Experience in design and construction methods and corresponding costs
- Understanding of CAD/CAM use and application of foundry processes.
- Ability to direct a cost control program (i.e. scrap analysis, process capability)
- Good communication skills to interface with customers and suppliers
