Job description

Make Better Processes. Build Better Products.

Some people see a production line and see what is happening. You see what could be happening better.

Less waste. Fewer defects. Smarter workflows. Better equipment. Safer processes. A problem that has frustrated people for months finally solved.

As a Process Engineer at MasterSpas, you’ll work where engineering meets the production floor-turning ideas, data, and real-world observations into manufacturing processes that work better for the people using them and the products we build. Your impact will be especially visible in critical manufacturing areas like lamination, foam, acrylic, and rotational molding. If you’re the kind of engineer who would rather be out solving a problem than simply talking about one, this role gives you the opportunity to make measurable improvements every day.

What You’ll Do

You’ll help answer one of the most important questions in manufacturing: How can we build it better?

Improve How We Build
  • Study manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, quality, and cost.
  • Optimize processes across lamination, foam, acrylic, rotational molding, and other production areas.
  • Test new ideas, monitor results, and turn successful improvements into repeatable processes.
  • Develop error-proofing methods that reduce scrap, rework, defects, and unnecessary variation.
  • Help ensure improvements make sense not only on paper-but on the production floor.
Solve the Problems That Slow Production Down
  • Dig into recurring manufacturing issues and determine what is actually causing them.
  • Lead process-definition and problem-resolution efforts.
  • Prevent non-conformances instead of simply reacting after they occur.
  • Work directly with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations to develop practical solutions.
  • Monitor process and equipment performance to identify opportunities to reduce downtime and operating costs.
Turn Continuous Improvement Into Action
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and simplify processes.
  • Lead and support improvement projects focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Challenge existing processes when there is a better way.
  • Help take improvement ideas from “we should do this” to “this is how we do it now.”
Bring Engineering Changes to the Floor
  • Support the implementation of new equipment, tooling, and engineering changes.
  • Develop and update work instructions, process documentation, and standardized methods.
  • Train production employees on new processes and best practices.
  • Work alongside the people performing the job to make sure solutions are practical, understandable, and sustainable.
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an engineer who is curious enough to ask why, analytical enough to figure out the answer, and practical enough to turn that answer into something that actually works.

You’ll Likely Be Successful If You
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Enjoy solving complex manufacturing problems.
  • Can look at data without losing sight of what is happening on the production floor.
  • Understand—or want to deepen your knowledge of—lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Have strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Are highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Can manage several projects and priorities at once.
  • Communicate effectively with everyone from engineers and managers to production team members.
  • Have process or manufacturing engineering experience, or a strong foundation that can translate into a manufacturing environment.
What Sets You Up For Success

The strongest Process Engineers don’t improve processes from behind a desk.

They go see the problem. They ask questions. They listen to the people doing the work. They test an idea.

And then they keep improving it until the solution actually sticks.

The People Who Thrive In This Role Are
  • Analytical, but practical.
  • Curious enough to challenge “we’ve always done it this way.”
  • Collaborative enough to know the best solution may come from the person doing the job every day.
  • Persistent when the first solution doesn’t work.Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger operation.
  • Improvement-minded and genuinely energized by making something safer, simpler, faster, or better.
What You Can Expect

This is an engineering role where you’ll get to see the impact of your work—not months later in a report, but directly on the production floor.

You Can Expect
  • Hands-on exposure to a wide variety of manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • The opportunity to influence how MasterSpas builds its products.
  • Close collaboration with Engineering, Production, Operations, Maintenance, and Safety.
  • Projects where improvements can directly affect quality, efficiency, cost, safety, and employee experience.
  • An environment where continuous improvement is part of the expectation, not just a buzzword.
  • A company whose mission is to create hot tubs and swim spas that help people around the world Live Life Better.
