Job description

For over 50 years, Tedia has been a trusted leader, delivering the industry’s broadest portfolio of ultra-high-purity solvents to critical scientific markets. From bulk supply to bench-scale delivery, we provide the consistency, flexibility, and regulatory confidence our partners depend on to drive innovation and operational excellence.

Guided by our five core values: Safetyin every action, Peopleat the center of our success, uncompromising Quality, forward-focused Innovation, and responsive Sustainability, we are committed to protecting those we serve. Together, these principles define who we are and how we power scientific progress safely, reliably, and responsibly.

About the Role:

As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing and enhancing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety within our production facilities. You will be responsible for analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions that reduce waste and increase productivity. Your expertise will directly contribute to minimizing scrap rates and ensuring consistent product quality, thereby supporting the company’s operational goals. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and maintenance, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives and support process control strategies. Ultimately, your work will ensure that manufacturing operations run smoothly, cost-effectively, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations across our United States locations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of process simulation and process control methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using statistical analysis software such as Minitab.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations and scrap reduction techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of automation and control systems in manufacturing.
  • Previous experience working in a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or food production.
  • Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and simulate manufacturing processes using advanced process simulation tools to identify inefficiencies and develop optimization strategies.
  • Design, implement, and monitor process control systems to maintain product quality and operational stability.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot process issues, reduce scrap, and improve overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Utilize statistical tools such as Minitab to analyze process data, perform root cause analysis, and support decision-making.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing manufacturing operations, reducing costs, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Skills:

The required skills such as Chemical Engineering and Process Engineering form the foundation for understanding and improving complex manufacturing systems. Process Simulation is used daily to model and predict process behavior, enabling proactive adjustments before implementation. Manufacturing Operations knowledge allows the engineer to align process improvements with production realities and constraints. Process Control expertise ensures that processes remain stable and produce consistent quality outputs, while Scrap Reduction techniques help minimize waste and improve cost efficiency. Proficiency in Minitab supports data-driven decision-making by enabling detailed statistical analysis and root cause investigations, which are essential for continuous process improvement.
