Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with process optimization, data analysis, and safety methodologies (HAZOP, PHA, MOC).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and improve plant efficiency to meet production requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise to modify existing processes and implement new ones.
  • Support product quality improvements and contribute to new product development.
  • Improve process control and reduce variation through data-driven analysis.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise in-plant production trials and optimization efforts.
  • Lead risk assessments including HAZOPs, PHAs, and MOC documentation.
  • Collaborate on design, cost analysis, lifecycle evaluations, and equipment selection.
  • Lead corrective and preventive action initiatives with root-cause analysis.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Process Engineer II to join our manufacturing facility in Dillon, SC. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role is responsible for developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing processes through the application of engineering principles and technical experti

se.This position will focus on optimizing plant efficiency, enhancing product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Process Engineer will work cross-functionally with automation, engineering, and safety teams to ensure successful execution of change management processes while maintaining strict adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and improve plant efficiency, ensuring manufacturing processes operate at optimal levels and meet production requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise to modify existing processes and implement new processes that improve quality and efficiency.
  • Support product quality improvements and contribute to new product development initiatives.
  • Improve process control and reduce variation through data-driven analysis and engineering solutions.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise in-plant production trials and process optimization efforts.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to implement solutions
  • Provide technical troubleshooting support and guidance for plant operations.
  • Prepare and review risk assessments, including HAZOPs, PHAs, and Management of Change (MOC) documentation.
  • Collaborate on engineering analyses, including design, cost analysis, lifecycle evaluations, and equipment selection.
  • Lead corrective and preventive action initiatives, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Partner with plant leadership, corporate teams, and R&D to support operational excellence and innovation.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (recent graduates may be considered based on academic performance, internships, and relevant experience).
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and production equipment.
  • Experience with process optimization, continuous improvement, and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with safety and risk assessment methodologies (HAZOP, PHA, MOC).
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex process and production issues in a fast-paced environ
  • ment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to be on-call for production-related issues and support plant operations as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also contributing to a team-oriented environment.
