Job summary

Stellent IT LLC in Bowling Green, KY, seeks a Process Engineer (FMCG) with 5–8 years of experience to design, supervise and optimize process systems from concept through commissioning. The role requires hygienic design, P&ID, heat and mass balance, and cross-disciplinary coordination.

You will evaluate equipment like hygienic pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and tanks, perform hydraulic calculations, and support QA/QC, safety studies, and FAT. Travel to US or Europe projects may be needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical engineering with 5–8 years relevant experience in Consumer products / Food & Beauty.
Expertise in FMCG segment with clean design, Non-Newtonian Hydraulic calculations and Line sizing.
Experience in process design of Mixing tanks, Storage tanks, Heat exchangers, CIP/SIP systems.
Familiar with international codes and standards including ASME BPE, 3A, EHEDG & ASME Codes.

Responsibilities

Plan, supervise and control process engineering work through concept, FEED, detail engineering, and commissioning.
Prepare design basis and deliverables like P&ID, heat and mass balance, line lists and data sheets.
Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Operations, and Safety teams for design completion.
Select hygienic equipment (pumps, valves, heat exchangers) and ensure dead-leg free piping and proper drainage.
Perform hydraulic calculations, pump sizing, line sizing, and material selection.
Execute IQ/OQ for equipment and participate in 3D model reviews.
Review vendor drawings and perform FAT/QA to ensure conformance.
Support development of department procedures and travel for project work.

Skills & Description:

PROCESS ENGINEER WITH 5 to 8 YEARS EXPERIENCE FMCG Vertical

Main Responsibilities:

Responsible to plan, supervise and control Process Engineering work activities throughout all project phases beginning from Concept, FEED and detail engineering Design to commissioning until handover of surface facilities to Operations.

Preparing Design Basis for the project scope, preparing deliverables like process flow diagram, Heat and Mass Balance Diagram, P&ID, valve lists, line list, standard data sheets for constructing/installation of new or modifications of systems.

Coordinating and providing necessary inputs to Multiple disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Operation, Process Safety) design team for design completion

Select hygienic equipment such as Sanitary pumps, valves (diaphragm, mix-proof, butterfly) Hygienic heat exchangers (plate, tubular) Mixing and storage vessels with proper spray ball coverage.

Design systems in compliance with hygienic engineering principles ensuring: Dead-leg free piping design, Proper drainability and self-draining systems, Smooth surface finishes and avoidance of contamination traps Elimination of crevices and stagnant zones

Performing system hydraulic calculations including pump selection, sizing, and application. Line sizing and valve sizing including selection of appropriate piping materials and valve types for applications.

IQ/OQ for Process Equipment's such as Tanks, Pumps, Air Compressor, Water Chiller Units, Pressure Relief Valves, Reactor, Cyclone, Degasser, Gun skid equipment's like Mixer, Heat exchanger etc.

Functional coordination and Participation in 3D model review for conformance with system design requirements

Coordinating with Client's R&D for necessary simulations data & inputs, technical bid evaluating, reviewing vendor drawings and factory acceptance testing of mechanical equipment

Review of Construction quality as per Design of overall Equipment's & Piping.

Support development and improvements of department standard work procedures and workflows.

Must be flexible to travel within US or Europe on project basis.

Require Candidate Profile:

Bachelor or Master Degree in Chemical engineering with a minimum of 5 to 8 years relevant working experience in Consumer products / Food & Beauty.

Expertise in FMCG segment with clean design, Non-Newtonian- Hydraulic calculations and Line sizing.

Experience in Process design of Mixing tank, Storage Tank, Heat Exchanger, CIP/SIP systems etc.

Good experience in Process simulation software like UNISIM, AFT Fathom.

Familiar with international codes and standards including ASME BPE, 3A, EHEDG & ASME Codes like B31.3, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Sections I and Section VIII.

Experience in safety studies such as HAZOP, SIL, etc.

Should be work independently in a self-driven manner with professional approach.

Possess strong analytical skill and effectively communicate technical data.

Ability to interact effectively in multidisciplinary team environment, especially in multinational environment.

Fluency in both spoken and written English

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a team player.

Proactive, meticulous, responsible and good working attitude.

Can adapt in fast pace working environment.
