Job summary

Job description

Your Opportunity

The Process Engineer will be responsible for contributing to projects across the Advanced Manufacturing sector. The engineering design focus will include process systems, process-mechanical, Bulk Gas delivery and UHP (VHP/Gas/Chemical), Industrial Waste lift, collection and treatment, and UPW (make‑up, primary, and polish loop) systems for multiple ongoing projects through all phases including programming, schematic, design development, construction administration and project close‑out.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex engineering design tasks on assigned water, industrial process and wastewater‑related projects through collaboration with a wide range of technical disciplines.
  • Engage in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
  • Assist project managers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
  • Lead others in developing and coordination of project construction specifications.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects and facilitate independent technical review projects by others.
  • Review contractor/vendor submittals for adherence to Contract Documents and industry standards.
  • Be involved in the permitting process of projects, which may require meeting with clients, contractors, interested stakeholder parties, and reviewing agency personnel.
  • Coordinate with the regulatory review to seek final approval.
  • Assist in the development and updates of project design standards and guidelines; prepare abstracts and technical papers.
  • Assist with business development pursuits including proposal preparation and participation in interviews.
  • Interact with clients and management regarding status of project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Apply and share experience/knowledge of design expertise.
  • Lead and manage preparation of documents including plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
  • Research and understand issues related to regulatory and other drivers that impact individual projects.
  • Ensure that projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
  • Have ability and willingness for occasional travel to domestic sites.
Capabilities & Credentials
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the U.S. preferred.
  • Familiar with Revit, AutoCAD, NavisWorks, Pipe‑Flo, Caesar or Autopipe pipe‑stress software, Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education & Experience

BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.

5+ years of experience with process, waste, and ultrapure water (UPW) systems in the semiconductor, or advanced technology industries.

Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
