About the Role

Nanopath is seeking a Process Development Senior Research Associate / Associate Scientist to join our Assay R&D team and help develop, optimize, and scale the workflows that support Nanopath’s diagnostic platform. This role will be highly hands‑on and will support process development across assay preparation, reagent development, and analytical testing.

Responsibilities
  • Support development of robust, repeatable protocols for reagent manufacturing, array fabrication, and assay execution.
  • Assist with process characterization, QC, stability, reproducibility, and verification‑supporting studies as Nanopath advances toward regulated product development.
  • Prepare reagents, samples, and materials; maintain lab organization; and support routine equipment use and maintenance.
  • Collect, analyze, summarize, and present experimental data in a clear and timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot experimental workflows and collaborate with assay, engineering, product, and operations team members to identify root causes and implement improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, molecular biology, chemistry, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with liquid handler automation, automated assay workflows, or programming / operating automated laboratory platforms.
  • Experience with nucleic acid assays, biosensors, microarrays, or spotting / printing technologies.
  • Familiarity with design control, quality systems, GLP/GxP principles, or documentation practices for regulated diagnostics.
  • Extremely well‑organized, with a high level of efficiency, attention to detail, and motivation for completing tasks accurately and on time.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in cross‑functional and highly collaborative work environments.
