Job summary

fab2 is seeking a Process Development Engineer in Austin to lead experimental design and execution for advanced semiconductor methods. You will work on nanofabrication recipes, deploying deposition, etch, lithography, and metrology while collaborating with senior engineers in a fast-moving startup.

Candidates should have hands-on cleanroom experience, a strong track record in developing process recipes, and the ability to digest academic literature to inform experiments.

Qualifications

• PhD + 10 years in nanofabrication process development.
• Hands-on cleanroom experience with multi-step fabrication.
• Experience with deposition, etch, lithography, and metrology.
• Ability to digest large bodies of literature and design experiments.

Responsibilities

• Design and run experiments with senior process engineers.
• Read papers to inform experimental design and iterate ideas.
• Operate a range of semiconductor tools including deposition, etch, lithography, metrology.
• Develop and optimize process recipes across platforms focusing on yield and throughput.
• Analyze data and document findings clearly for the team.
