Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Process Development Engineer I to join the Purification Development group in Tarrytown, NY.

This on-site role will lead purification process development for preclinical molecules, document experiments, and collaborate with internal teams to transfer technology and improve throughput. You will read and interpret scientific literature, interpret technical documentation, and present findings at meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field.
• 2+ years of related experience in purification or bioprocessing is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with purification techniques and laboratory equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret scientific literature and technical documentation.

We are seeking a Process Development Engineer I to join our Purification Development group, supporting our Preclinical Manufacturing & Process Development (PMPD) organization in Tarrytown, NY in an on-site work model. In this role, you will lead purification process development and support purification of a variety of pre-clinical biological molecules, providing critical reagents for Regeneron's research and discovery groups, while collaborating with internal manufacturing sites on technology transfers.

Discover Your Role

• Perform purification process development supporting pre-clinical biological molecules.
• Document experiments, results, and findings in the electronic laboratory notebook.
• Read and interpret scientific literature and technical documentation; execute experimental plans to verify findings and compare internal data to published research for manager review.
• Maintain laboratory instruments and troubleshoot instrumental and experimental problems.
• Develop technology that increases process throughput and efficiency for preclinical manufacturing, supporting broader improvement initiatives.
• Present work and findings at group and department meetings.
• Build relationships within the subgroup to support shared goals; train peers and guide co-op students and interns.
• Proactively support colleagues in executing experiments and know when to ask for help.

This Role Requires

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field and 2 years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory purification techniques and equipment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply scientific literature and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for laboratory instruments and experimental issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team-based, fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to lab equipment maintenance and safety to help create a safe, effective, and efficient working environment.
• Anticipate and recognize potential problems with laboratory supplies and equipment, acting to prevent and resolve them.
• Initiative and drive to complete ambitious tasks and learn new technologies.
