Job summary

System One is seeking a Process Design Engineer for the Port Arthur, TX site. This onsite role focuses on leading process-engineering activities, developing FEL packages, and supporting safety and environmental compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering with 5+ years in EPC or petrochemical operations, and hands-on experience with pressure vessels, P&IDs, distillation, and process control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience with an EPC firm or petrochemical operating company.
• Experience with equipment design for pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, heat exchangers, and control valves.
• Knowledge of pressure-relief devices, process simulation, PFDs, P&IDs, distillation, and reaction systems.
• Proficiency in process safety management, hazard analyses, and process control.

• Leads small capital projects under $2 million, including plant layout, equipment procurement, and startup support
• Defines project scope and collaborates with discipline leads and stakeholders
