Role Description

The Process Design Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Cincinnati, OH, with some flexibility for work from home. This role is responsible for developing sanitary process designs and engineering solutions for customers in dairy, food, beverage, and high-purity industries. Day-to-day tasks include performing process engineering calculations, preparing P&IDs and layout drawings, selecting and specifying equipment, and ensuring designs meet sanitary, safety, and regulatory requirements. The Process Design Engineer collaborates with sales, project management, and field service teams to support system integration, installation, and commissioning. Additional responsibilities include participating in wastewater treatment system design, troubleshooting process issues, and providing technical support to internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Strong process design and process engineering skills for sanitary process systems.
• Ability to perform accurate engineering calculations related to fluid flow, heat transfer, and process performance.
• Background in chemical engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Experience or familiarity with wastewater treatment processes and systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of sanitary design standards and best practices for food, beverage, and high-purity industries.
• Proficiency with CAD or process design software and basic project documentation tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities, with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and customers.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Cincinnati, OH, including occasional site visits to customer facilities.
