• Maintain backups and security for servers, workstations, and controllers.
• Program, configure, test and troubleshoot control applications.
• Support site alarm compliance and provide DCS alarm reports and guidance.
• Drive cost reduction for DCS and PLC equipment.
• Coordinate with contractors for onsite DCS work.
• Provide SME support for capital projects and plant I&E changes.

Join our team as a Process Controls Engineer a nd play a critical role in driving the reliability, efficiency, and performance of a world-class manufacturing operation. In this highly visible role, you'll leverage your expertise in distributed control systems to optimize plant operations, lead automation improvements, and support cutting-edge manufacturing technologies. Working alongside operations, maintenance, and engineering teams, you'll have the opportunity to make a measurable impact by improving process performance, reducing downtime, and implementing innovative control strategies that keep our facility operating at its best.

• Support All plant & Lab Instrument and Control systems such as Yokogawa, Rockwell, Modicon and Delta V Software.
• Network administrator as it pertains to the process control systems including troubleshooting.
• Maintain backup systems and security systems for Servers, Workstations and controllers.
• Program, configure, test and troubleshoot applications.
• Support site's alarm compliance as it pertains to process control systems; provide DCS alarm reports and guidance.
• Drive cost reduction efforts, when possible, for DCS and PLC equipment.
• Analyze existing instrumentation and requirements; determine if the selected equipment is the best available for the intended application.
• Plant I&E support as needed.
• Order parts and service for projects and repairs of equipment as needed; maintain a system of critical spare parts.
• Install and maintain UPS systems for DCS equipment.
• Experience with SAP Maintenance.
• Monitor and Maintain Plant MOC system for DCS/Instrument/Electrical changes and documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors for onsite DCS work
• Provide Controls/Instrument/Electrical SME support for capital projects
• Support turnaround I&E scope development and repairs as needed
• Support and maintain the historian systems as it relates to process control.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 7-10 years experience and knowledge of the design, selection, and application of process control equipment such as level, pressure, flow, temperature, analytical, speed, weight, control valve, low voltage power equipment (breakers, relays, starters, transformers, VFD, etc)
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills, failure analysis, and maintenance. Must be able to understand and interpret technical material. Must be able to solve problems quickly, completely, accurately, and to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
• Good communication skills at all levels of the organization, ability to work in a team environment, self-motivated and able to work alone and accomplish responsibilities with only general direction.
• Must pay attention to details, and follow high standards for accuracy and completeness, and accept constructive criticism from coworkers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Maintenance.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley, Modicon PLC and Emerson Delta V control systems.
• PSM (Process Safety Management) and SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems).

Physical Requirements and Environment

• Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a laboratory environment with highly hazardous materials
• Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a pilot plant facility with highly hazardous materials
• Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.
• Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator
