Job summary

Mead & Hunt, founded in 1900, is a nationally recognized architectural, engineering, planning, and construction services firm. We have an opportunity for an Experienced Process Controls Engineer to join our Greenhouse Gas Reduction Group in West Allis, WI or Denver, CO.

You will design instrumentation and controls, program PLCs/HMI, and create control panels for processing equipment, with some travel to client facilities for commissioning and startup services.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree (or higher) in engineering (chemical, electrical, or mechanical) or related field from an accredited college or university.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Instrumentation and controls design.
• PLC and HMI programming.
• Design of control panels for process equipment.
• May include the design of power and control electrical systems for process equipment and other facility systems.
• Participate in field testing (I/O verification, operational readiness testing, functional & performance testing), commissioning, training, and startup services of Mead & Hunt designed and constructed systems.
• Some travel will be required to visit client facilities for controls engineering related tasks and commissioning.

We have an opportunity available for an Experienced Process Controls Engineer to join our Greenhouse Gas Reduction Group in our West Allis, WI or Denver, CO office.

Responsibilities Include

• Instrumentation and controls design

The Successful Candidate Must Have All Of The Following

• B.S. degree (or higher) in engineering (chemical, electrical, or mechanical) or related field of study from an accredited college or university.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following

• Working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) (Rockwell, Modicon, Siemens and other), human machine interface (HMI) development and Microsoft Office programs.
• Utilizing advanced computer skills in areas such as networking, troubleshooting, custom building, programming, and alternative operating systems is a plus, but not required.
• Prior experience with food & beverage processes.
• Prior experience in construction or engineering consulting is a plus, but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• PE preferred but not required

Salary Range: $95,000 to $130,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
