Job summary

CMC seeks an experienced Maintenance Electrician to install, monitor, and repair electrical and control systems in our steel-related facilities in Texas. You will inspect equipment, troubleshoot drives and motors, and ensure safe, compliant operation acrossMV/HV components.

This role demands endurance for long shifts and adherence to safety protocols. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of electrical/industrial maintenance or a vocational credential, with PLC experience and calibration know-how.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years electrical or industrial maintenance experience OR vocational degree.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and equipment.
• Experience with industrial electrical repairs including troubleshooting of drives and motors, PLCs and 480 Volt 3 phase electrical.
• Experience with PLCs, block logic, ladder logic, or other digital logic interfaces.
• Training and/or experience in instrument and sensor calibration.
• Ability to work a 12 hour shift, including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in environments with extreme temperatures, dust and noise.

Responsibilities

• Install, monitor, inspect, troubleshoot, and ensure reliability of electrical, electronic control systems and equipment.
• Procure supplies and spare parts to maintain equipment.
• Maintain and revise manuals, drawings, schematics, maintenance logs, and other docs.
• Learn and maintain electromechanical starters and motors using VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation.
• Demonstrates dependability in attendance and work completion; supports safety programs.
