Job summary

Butterball, LLC in Mount Olive, NC is seeking a Process Controller to ensure plant processes are defined, measured, and in-control to improve performance and efficiency. This role supports quality, safety, and continuous improvement in a high‑speed food processing environment.

You will work across teams to monitor quality, ensure USDA and GMP compliance, train hourly staff, and drive process improvements while maintaining records and equipment performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be able to use basic math and typing skills
• Willing to work overtime and flexible shifts as required
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Background check, drug screen and pre-employment physical required

Responsibilities

• Ensures all products, process and areas comply with quality specifications.
• Inspects items and equipment for defects, inconsistencies, cleanliness standards, packaging errors, etc.
• Adheres to and assurance compliance with USDA, GMP and Safety/Food Safety procedures, standards and guidelines
• Monitors quality indicators and works with QA to monitor and document processes for compliance
• Maintains daily records of activities, performance metrics, and any issues
• Monitors processes tracking, collecting data, and documenting microbial findings and lab scores
• Assists with Pre-Op process
• Initiates and assists in foreign material investigations
• Helps provide input on process improvements
• Train/retrain hourly team members and QA Technicians as needed
