SNF Holding Company seeks a Process Control Specialist to design, commission, and troubleshoot DCS and PLC systems for chemical processes. You will develop logic for Yokogawa DCS and Rockwell PLC environments, collaborating with engineers to optimize control strategies and ensure safety and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities include project execution with minimal supervision, maintaining documentation, and analyzing data to drive process improvements.

Formación

• 2-4 years of experience with logic development in an industrial setting.
• Experience with Yokogawa DCS or Rockwell PLC systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office and documenting control system work.

The Process Control Specialist will develop moderate to complex logic on various control systems, including Yokogawa DCS, PLCs, Opto 22, and other related control system environments. The Process Control Specialist assists in designing, commissioning, and troubleshooting control systems, such as DCS, PLCs, their networks, and any related hardware. Provide data analysis for operational issues, including recommendations for resolutions, as well as develop novel solutions to data requirements. Keep up with technological advancements in data acquisition and use this knowledge to facilitate proactive changes to maintenance and operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Work with Process / Project Engineers to develop and maintain DCS and PLC control logic for chemical processes.
• Participate in the commissioning of control systems and related equipment.
• Communicate with plant operations for control system optimization and process improvement.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on existing control systems and network equipment.
• Maintain required documentation for control systems.
• Ensure that potential safety and environmental issues related to projects are considered at all stages of startup, shutdown and continuous operations of process equipment.
• Performs work under minimal supervision and handles moderate to complex projects and issues.
• Develop solutions to data acquisition needs and be the administrator for these technologies.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• Associate's Degree - Or certificate in Industrial Automation, BS Computer Science or BS in a relevant Engineering major.

EXPERIENCE:

• 2-4 Years - Experience of logic development in an industrial environment. Programming skills with Yokogawa DCS or Rockwell PLC systems are a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Possesses a solid working knowledge of subject matter experts and focuses development primarily on improving chemical process control technology and installed equipment knowledge.
• Experience with chemical industry design is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as an integral part of a team.
• Analytical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) skills. Receives and acts upon feedback from supervisor.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving ability on control systems and instrumentation.
• Strong process background and solid working knowledge of control systems.
• Time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
