Job description
Who We Are

Eras of humanity can often be defined by a dominant transportation mode - horse drawn chariots, ocean going boats, or aircraft. These were spurred by a small group of people rigorously focused on building technology to achieve faster access to more of the world. We seek to usher in a new era of humanity defined by universal access to the whole globe free of borders and the presence of a routine way from space to Earth. To do this, we are building highly maneuverable re-entry vehicles that can loiter in orbit before precision landing back on Earth.

Position Overview

The Process Control Manager leads all functions related to inventory management, logistics operations, materials forecasting, shipping and receiving, work orders, and kitting operations. This role ensures that materials flow efficiently and accurately throughout the production process, supporting manufacturing, engineering, and program delivery timelines. The position demands a hands-on leader capable of optimizing warehouse operations, driving lean initiatives, and enhancing supply chain effectiveness in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build out Inversion’s inventory ERP/MRP system and work order standards from scratch.
  • Direct and oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and high inventory accuracy through rigorous audits and cycle counts.
  • Lead logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipping, transportation coordination, and warehouse workflow optimization.
  • Develop and maintain robust materials forecasting models to support production schedules and minimize shortages.
  • Supervise all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accuracy of inbound inspections, documentation compliance (hazmat/MSDS where required), and timely processing of receipts.
  • Manage work order creation, tracking, and fulfillment processes, ensuring seamless material availability and accurate ERP transactions.
  • Oversee the kitting and de-kitting of materials to support production and assembly lines, ensuring complete and quality-checked kits are delivered to the floor.
Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience managing inventory, logistics, shipping/receiving, and materials operations in manufacturing or aerospace industries.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with ERP/MRP systems for inventory and work order management.
  • Demonstrated success leading warehouse teams in manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working in aerospace or defense industries and familiarity with traceability requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred
